BELIZE

Tucked between the Caribbean Sea and the rainforest on the eastern coast of Central America, Belize is the home of a small and diverse nation. From waters to mountains and everything in between, the country’s bountiful, natural landscape offers adventures at every turn.

YOU BETTER BELIZE IT!

  • VISIT

CAYE CAULKER - While we don’t recommend spending time in Belize City, securing a trip out to the nearby islands is a MUST if you’re extending your tip! With it’s brightly colored dwellings, glimmering sea access and upbeat local flavor, you’ll be reluctant to leave island time behind.

AMBERGRIS CAYE - Just a bit farther than Caye Caulker, San Pedro town on this island is a bit larger and more lively for those looking for more action.

For an extended coastal stay, PLACENCIA, BELIZE is a relatively untouched paradise with gorgeous waters, water activities galore and fabulous local fare. TURTLE INN, a sister property of Blancaneaux Lodge, is a can’t miss experience.

  • EAT

With South American and Caribbean influences abound, the Belizean cuisine is diverse and flavorful. Some must try dishes include:

FRYJACKS - Belizean “fried dough” can be eaten at breakfast with fruit and honey, or as a savory side dish for any other meal during the day.

Originally a Creole dish, the Belizean national dish of RICE & BEANS can be found everywhere with each cook’s unique spin. This local comfort food is always a delight.

SALBUTES - Also known as Garnachas, Belize’s version of tostadas are crunchy and delicious! Try them with local stewed chicken.
